I see there are two holes in the shank. How do I know which one to use?

The pin hole location on different makes of receivers can vary. Under normal circumstances, it’s best to have the shank slid as far into the receiver as possible for a strength standpoint.

How do I know which adjustable drop hitch I should purchase?

For most vehicles, the 3" drop is appropriate. However, if you have a truck with oversized tires, a lift kit, or a trailer that is not at the same relative height as the receiver, you may need a big drop hitch. Please refer to the guide in the store.

What towing capacities are available with the Hitch?

Depending on your receiver size, 10,000 lbs. GTW (2" shank, 2-5/16" ball) , 18,000 lbs. GTW (2.5" shank, 2-5/16" ball) or 21,000 lbs. GTW (3" shank, 2-5/16" ball), with corresponding VTW of 1000 lbs, 1800 lbs and 2,100 lbs.

Can I use a sway-bar with the hitch?

No. Sway-bar systems, along with weight distribution systems, utilize specialized attachment pieces to connect to the hitch receiver that are not compatible with the hitch.
